710E Man-portable E-scanning TACAN Antenna

The 710E antenna is the world’s smallest, lightest, most versatile, full-service TACAN antenna in use today. It is completely man-portable and air-droppable for immediate deployment. The dBs 710E all-band antenna has undergone rigorous qualification testing. The antenna works with the TACAN Navigation Set AN/TRN-41. The 710E allows instantaneous operation on any of the 252 X and Y mode TACAN channels.
The 710E is a state-of-the-art E-Scan TACAN replacement antenna for the mechanically rotating AS-4502/T. The antenna has the following capabilities:
•Provides all-band capability through the use of broadband radio frequency elements.
• Acts as both a receiving and transmitting antenna, radiating bearing, distance, and station identification signals to TACAN transponder-equipped aircraft.
• Receives TACAN interrogation signals from aircraft and sends them to the ground beacon receiver-transmitter for processing.
• Weighs only 23 lbs and has a compact size – 12″ high and 30″ in diameter.
• Uses substantially less power than its predecessor.
• Works anywhere from -40° C to +71° C, 5% to 100% relative humidity, and from 0 to 13,100 ft above sea level.
